Seven healthy behaviors can take you to a long way towards not only improving your health and lowering risk of cancers as well as they can save you from heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and the osteoporosis. And they are not as complicated as you might think. Choose one or two of the behavior to start with. Once you have got those down, after then move on to the other.

 

1. Maintain a Healthy Weight

Keeping your weight in check is an important aspect. First of all, if you are overweight, focus initially on not gaining any more weight. This thing itself can improve your health quite much. Then, when you are ready, try to shed down some extra pounds for even greater health boost.

 

2. Exercise Regularly

Regular physical activity is the key to everything. We know it is difficult  to find the time for this but it is as important as rubbing teeth every morning so to keep yourself fit do at least 30 minutes of activity every day. Follow old saying more is better, but any amount is better than none.

You have heard it before: If you smoke, then quitting it is absolutely the best thing you can do to significantly improve your health. Yes, we know it’s hard, but it is also far from impossible. More than 10,000 peoples stop it for good every day.

 

4. Eat Healthy Diet 

You should focus on fruits, vegetables and the whole grains and try to keep red meat to a minimum. It is also equally important to cut down the bad fats from diet (saturated and trans fats) and choose healthy fats (polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats). Taking a multivitamin with the folate daily is a great nutrition insurance policy.

 

5. Drink Alcohol in Moderation! if you do

It is medically proven that Moderate drinking is good for your heart but moderate means moderate here. If you don’t drink, it doesn’t mean you need to start. If you already drink moderately (not more than one drink a day for women, two drinks a day for men), there is probably no reason to stop. But people who drink more, though, should cut back.

 

6. Protect Yourself from Sun

To much exposure to the warm sun may lead you to the skin cancer, including serious melanoma. The Skin damage starts early in childhood, so it is especially important to protect children.

 

7. Protect Yourself From Sexually Transmitted Infections

Among other life threatening problems, sexually transmitted infections like human papillomavirus (HPV) are linked to number of different cancers. Protect yourself from these infections to lower your risk.
