Full Time Blogging
Something I have been thinking a lot about lately is how to create full time blog results without full time availability to do so. For many bloggers out there, blogging can become a full time job. I know some bloggers have “guest bloggers” that help post on their sites but we don’t all have that luxury. So how do you manage to populate your blog with a large amount of content on a regular basis?
The best advice I was ever given about this was from Cybercoder. He told me to write at least one post a day and make sure its relevant to your sites content, don’t over do it (it doesn’t have to be an essay), and maintain that rhythm. Overtime your site will grow within the search engines and you will gradually see the outcomes.
I believe this to be true, however, blogging to me is more than just writing a post everyday. There is all the background work involved these days. You almost have to belong to a blogging community like MyBlogLog. There is also the theory about needing to comment on other blogs in your niche to help drive traffic to your site. These are only a couple things that are almost mandatory to have a successful blog these days. If you put in the true effort, you will find yourself spending 10 or more hours a week doing just that.
